Dr. Priyanka Rathod, Consultant Cancer Surgeon in Latur, was invited by the IMA Women’s Wing, Latur, to deliver a breast cancer awareness session for the staff of Government Medical College (GMC), Latur, during Navratri. She highlighted the importance of early detection, recognizing warning signs, breast self-examination, regular clinical check-ups, and timely medical consultation. She also explained the role of mammography and ultrasonography in breast cancer screening and early detection. The initiative emphasized women’s health, cancer awareness, and the importance of empowering women with knowledge to prioritize their well-being.
