On 18 February 2022, Dr. Priyanka Rathod, Consultant Oncosurgeon at MJ Hospital, Latur, was invited as the Chief Guest at the Latur Clean Air Meet 2022 held at Rajashri Shahu College, Latur. Organized by Mrs. Farah Kazi, Director of Campaigns, Watavaran Foundation, Mumbai, the event focused on the importance of clean air and its direct impact on health.
During her address, Dr. Rathod emphasized, “Less air pollution is the answer to a healthy life. Go green to breathe clean,” while highlighting the link between air pollution and rising health issues, including cancer. The session also included interactive discussions with college students, raising awareness and encouraging proactive environmental responsibility. She extended gratitude to the college authorities, Watavaran Foundation members, and local leaders for their support in promoting this vital cause.
