Dr. Priyanka Mehul Rathod, Consultant Cancer Surgeon at M J Hospital & Cancer Care Centre, Latur, participated in an awareness programme held on 14 October 2026 at Sane Guruji Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Avanti Nagar, Latur. Organized under the ‘Vyasanmukt Vidyarthi, Cancer Mukt Samaj and Plastic Mukt Bharat’ initiative by Aaple Arogya – Aaplich Jababdari Foundation and the Lions Club of Latur City, the programme highlighted the harmful effects of tobacco and other addictive substances, cancer prevention, and the importance of adopting healthy lifestyles. The initiative also encouraged students to avoid single-use plastic and embrace sustainable alternatives.
